Eversley in partnership with Middlesex University

Eversley has been linked for several years through the Undergraduate BA(QTS) Primary Degree Programme. Every year students from Middlesex come to Eversley on teaching practice.

Eversley has a further link with Middlesex University.

Students on the Undergraduate BA (QTS) Primary Degree and PGCE Primary Programme go to the school for all their Physical Education Training. Eversley pupils take part in demonstration lessons exemplifying the Gymnastics and Games Programme of Study

Students experience a range of physical activities related to The National Curriculum at Key Stages 1 and 2.

The Physical Education Lecturer, Jan Hickman, leads the sessions.

Students are able to observe children:
- performing simple and complex skills
- working safely in an indoor and outdoor environment
- lifting and carrying gymnastics apparatus
- working co-operatively and independently.

Through their observations, students acquire knowledge and understanding of the different physical abilities of children. The sessions aims to give students the confidence and competence to plan an appropriate and challenging physical education programme that recognises the individual needs of children.
